Innovative Chef Greg Christian goes green with Get Me Greg's
In an effort to raise the quality & consciousness of his catering corporate catering division Chef Greg Christian is now featuring his "GreenCatering" services on Get Me Greg's.Greg Christian Catering and Get Me Greg’s will purchase their poultry exclusively from Orland, Indiana’s Miller Amish Country Poultry. The birds are farm raised in the traditional Amish way with natural feeds and humane treatment. The chicken is all-natural with no antibiotics, no hormones, no preservatives and no growth stimulants, and is just as tender and juicy as traditional chicken.
All-natural chicken offers a number of benefits that conventional chicken does not. The lack of hormones and other preservatives mean the chickens are raised in a healthier, chemical free environment, with an entire pasture to feed from.
It is All-Natural which means:
- Raised with all vegetable feeds. No un-natural animal by-products or fats added to the chicken’s feed. No antibiotics are added to the feed either.
- Naturally raised on a traditional Amish farm.
- The farmers have small flock sizes, which provide a more natural, well looked after environment to live and grow.
- Many of the farmers still feed their chickens in hand-filled hanging feeders
- It is Fresh – Never Frozen
It is processed by the Amish farm under the inspection of the U.S.D.A.
- All of the feed for their chickens are produced in their own feed mill.
- No antibiotics.
- Their birds are not force-fed.
- The Amish and Mennonites are peace-loving folk who express love and concern for each other. So, it is only natural that they treat their chickens with tender loving care too. Each day, they spend hours tending to their chickens. Their chickens are raised the old fashion way.
- None of their chickens are raised in cages! They are free to roam within the chicken house.
- They use no hormones.
- They do not use any preservatives in the process of preparing their product for market.
- They are never fed any artificial growth stimulants.
Get Me Greg's now features biodegradable disposables for all of their buffet items

All of our hot and cold buffet items are now served with biodegradable plates, forks, knives, spoons, PLA cups and napkins. These are better for the environment because they do not sit in the landfills as long as traditional plastic. In an effort to continue and enhance our sustainability, we will switch to more biodegradable food items as they become readily available.
